SUMMER POLO CLUB

There is a Southern Utah Water Polo Club ("SUWP") beginning soon.  This is open to boys and girls.  This club is strictly to teach skills and do drills.  This Club will be held in the summer.  The purpose is two-fold; to help develop water polo in the St. George/Cedar City areas; and secondly, to help those who already play to develop better skills.  There will seldom be competitions or scrimmages.   When High School Water Polo/Swim begins, the Club will cease for that season and then restart in the summer again.  This is a great opportunity to recruit new members for our high school teams as well.  Everyone is welcome.

This Club will be taught by Jesse Katchel.  You may know Jesse as a referee of some of our high school games.  He also helped out the girls during one of our practices.  His motive is to build the sport in Southern Utah much like it is in Northern Utah.    He is offering to teach Monday 6:30pm (SUU POOL) in Cedar City and Wednesday 6:30pm in St. George.  (It is hoped that the Cedar players would be willing to attend St. George to help build their program, and get additional instruction time.  We could carpool!)  The fee would be $35 per month.  It is hoped that you would make it a priority, be committed and come regularly. All the kinks haven't been worked out, but we want to make you aware of this exciting opportunity.

If this is something you would like to possibly do, please contact Janet Clark and we will get a separate email  list going with information.  (cedarclark@yahoo.com)

  1. Once a week and they want $35 plus swim which is also $35? Hmm, can we negotiate the price a little bit?

  2. Two separate things, but I can check. Also, it is Monday and Wednesdays. Not required, just available.
